Countdown to Convention: Dorchester Republicans to Decide on Leadership
On April 12th, Dorchester County Republicans will choose who leads our County Party for the next 2 years.
Dear Patriots,
Just a couple weeks ago Dorchester Republicans selected their new local Republican precinct leaders, and in 8 days Dorchester Republicans will select their new county party officers. The officer positions available will be Chairman, 1st Vice Chairman, 2nd Vice Chairman, 3rd Vice Chairman, and State Executive Committeeman. At the Dorchester County Republican Convention on April 12th at 10 a.m. in the Ashley Ridge High School Auditorium an individual vote will take place for each of these positions.
County Convention delegates will also be voting to select who 29 State Convention Delegates will be to represent Dorchester County at the South Carolina Republican Party Convention on May 4th in Columbia. There are 29 slots available for this, many have signed up to say they’re interested, many have declined which is perfectly fine.
Watch: My campaign announcement video that outlines why I believe I’m the most qualified candidate for Dorchester County Republican Party Chairman.
I believe I’m the most qualified candidate for Chairman for 3 reasons:
I know what it takes to win: I have the experience helping Republicans beat Democrats in very tough, challenging elections, in places Republicans haven’t won before. If we want someone who can help defend Republican strongholds and go on offense in Democrat areas, there’s no question I have more experience than my opponent to succeed in this key responsibility.
I know what it takes to organize for our values: I’ve spoken up for our Republican values for years consistently, starting when I started a Young Republicans club in high school, to running a Conservative podcast for years, to organizing protests during Covid, to serving now as the Chairman of the largest Young Republican Chapter in South Carolina, the Greater Charleston Young Republicans.
I’m working to unite Republicans on all sides of the party no matter which faction to stay focused on the mission. I’ve set out to unite our Republican Party behind our common set of principles, and agree with President Reagan’s mindset that someone who agrees with you 80% of the time, isn’t a 20% traitor, but an 80% ally. We need to continue growing our membership, and that starts with curating a positive and welcoming environment.
If you have any questions, concerns, or hesitations about my campaign - I invite you to reach out to me directly via call or text to see where we may have common ground at 843-605-1031.
The candidates I’m supporting for these County Officer positions who I feel are most qualified for the role are: Rebecca Lawson State EC, Britney Mahoney 1st VC, Brady Bowyer 2nd VC, and Rhonda Pereira 3rd VC.

After having a chance to work side by side with these folks in both Conservative activism and campaign efforts, it’s clear that they have demonstrated their ability to effectively advocate for their beliefs, have hard conversations without burning bridges, and work together positively as a team for a commonly shared goal. I'd humbly ask you head over to my website to read their individual bios at www.cjforchairman.com/slate

You’ll have a final opportunity to hear our team in action coming this Thursday:
The Greater Charleston Young Republicans come to Summerville: All Are Welcome!
To vote in our party’s elections, you’ll need to be a paid member of the party. Membership is $25 annually for individuals or $40 for a family of two at the same address. I’d encourage you to take care of this before April 12th to avoid any last-minute stress. You can easily join or renew here: https://secure.winred.com/dorchester-county-republican-party/join-today.
